American River Bike Trail
If you want to see this amazing resource we share in Sacramento, the American River Parkway bike trail and greenbelt, check the map here:
Also, there’s a nice tour provided by Sacramento County Parks:
I never get a good chance to say this to the county maintenance people, but in this day of government budget-cutting and infrastructure decline, the county folks take fantastic care of the parkway and bike trail, all thirty miles of it. It has weathered occasional floods and the strains experienced by anything human-made amidst wild country, and rebuilding and fixing is never-ending. Despite the headaches, county personnel work hard and they’re supremely courteous to those of us using the trail.

Hello,
My name is Linda Nunes and I am the curator for the eductional exhibits at the California State Fair. We are in the planning stages of large Bicycle Exhibit. I noticed your beautiful photo of the American River Bike Trail and wondered if you had others, specifically of points of interest. If you do, I would be interested in looking at these and possibly using them in our exhibit. We do not have a budget for this, however, we can credit the photos with your name, and close to 800,000 fair visitors will be able to enjoy them. If this interests you, I would need photos at their highest resolution. You can contact me at my work email address: Lnunes@calexpo.com. Our fair opens in July so time is short. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Linda Nunes
